Three weeks of research, three long hard weeks of research, had finally paid off. Too many deaths had occurred around Austin to just be a coincidence, that and each death had something in common: bite marks, especially around the neck. Most people would think it was a weird vampiric cult, well those people were mostly right, except for the cult part, that could be replaced with pack. After careful research, Jefferson found out that there was only six in the pack, well five now seeing as he got rid of the one that gave him the info, and that their hideout was an old building. This is where they were at the moment.
Jefferson was sweating bullets, breathing heavily. He was getting too old for this, and they still had two more vampires to kill. The first one was easy to kill, he didn't see it coming. But numbers two to five were another story. Vampire number two was killed, after Jefferson had gotten thrown around a few times. Thankfully for him, the vampire was a bit too cocky and had left a wide opening for him. Vamp. number three was taken care of by someone else in the group. He didn't know because Jefferson got separated from them. Sitting down, Jeff closed his eyes for a moment, in order to regain his thoughts of what led to this moment.
"Pack your stuff! We're going hunting." Jefferson said with a smile. It had been a long time since something exciting had happened in this town, and this was just the excitement Jeff needed. Jefferson was only carrying a machete, which he had sharpened and cleaned the night before. He headed outside, hopped into his car and waited for the rest.
After everyone had jumped into the car, Jefferson sped off into the night. Reaching the old abandoned building went much faster then expected, which was in good terms with Jeff. At the entrance to the building was the first vampire that Jefferson killed. The vamp. had his back turned, so all Jeff had to do was sneak up to him and chop off the vamp's. head. After that Jefferson and the rest headed into the building, on his orders.
At this moment, everyone split apart. Jeff went alone, and didn't remember who else went with who. The second vamp saw him and rushed over to attack, which caught Jeff by surprise. Being thrown back, Jefferson's machete was kicked quite a few feet away from him. The vamp jumped onto his stomach, and began to repeatedly kick him in the stomach. Blood spewed out of Jefferson's mouth, his vision was beginning to fade, and his hands were searching for anything that could help him out. Finally he had found a rusty old iron bar, and used it to slam the vamp right on the head. This gave Jefferson enough time to head for his weapon.
The vampire was now laughing, probably at Jefferson's feeble body. This caused Jefferson to smile, because while the vampire laughed, his eyes were closed. At this moment, Jefferson rushed over and killed the beast.
The only reason Jefferson knew that the others had killed off another was because of the emotions that were running in the air. They seemed to have calmed down from what they recently were, which caused Jefferson to calm down himself.
This was the end of his memory, for Jefferson was snapped back to reality by a couple of voices, voices he had never heard before. They seemed close by, and if he could hear correctly one was male and the other female. Crap, they sounded too close for his taste. Standing up as fast as his beaten up body could carry him, Jefferson turned around to look for his team and froze. Standing behind him were the two vampires he had heard.
"Well, well, well. What do we have here?" The female vampire was the one that spoke for them. "Gerald, grab the man and pin him down." The male vampire, Gerald, rushed over and before Jefferson could do anything about it, was pinned down. Jefferson tried to lift up the arm that was holding his weapon, but the female vampire stomped on his arm. Reaching down, she picked up the weapon from his hand and studied where the blood was.
"So you enjoy killing my family. What have we ever done to you? Hmm? Answer me? Don't we have a right to survive too or do you enjoy killing us off one by one?"
Jefferson chuckled. "Actually," he said, "if it was up to me I would kill all of you in one go."
The female vampire frowned, and then smiled a wicked smile. "Fine, you like cutting us up, then let's see how you enjoy it. An eye for an eye, as they say."
With one simple motion, the female vampire brought the machete down on Jefferson, cutting him on his left shoulder. At this moment, Jefferson let out a bloodcurdling scream.
